I have been an artist all my life, and horses have always been my favorite subject. I spent my youth drawing in pencil, trying to make the perfect, straightforward, adult-like horse drawing that showed exactly how a horse looks. In recent years, though, I have let go of the attempt to be perfect and have embraced a more relaxed, fun approach to my art. My horses are imaginary and I never know what is going to appear when I start painting each day. To me, horses represent freedom and carefree childhood. Painting this way make me feel like a kid again.
